Finally we are proud to present our brand new video for our single
"Whats the Point"! The video was directed by Mattias Johanson and is
based on the classic topic of good vs. evil... we hade a great
time shooting this video and would like to send a big shout out
to all the crew that worked so hard in getting it done- THANK YOU!!! and not to forget a big thanks to all the animals and their keepers as well.

Right now we are getting all the artwork for the album
done and so far its looking fantastic. We don't want to give away too
much, all we can say is that its going to be a piece of art on its
own...

4 March 2010 Mavericks

Our brand new third album is finally done. We have named it Mavericks.

This time the process of creating this album was really challenging, not because we had a rough time writing songs, but because we felt that we had to dig deep within ourselves in order to find a place where these melodies could grow into songs.

Most of the songs were written during a pretty confusing time last fall 2009. Throughout Sep-Oct we basically lived in our rehearsal studio .We played our instruments until our fingers bleed, constantly struggling to maintain a constant creative energy.

When the first snow hit Stockholm it was time to hit the studio. We felt that we wanted to be in total charge of the recording process, so we decided to produce the record ourselves, which we ended up doing - together with the incredibly talented Lasse Mårten.

Lasse Mårten owns the now legendary Decibel Studios in Stockholm. We'd heard such great things about this guy and his studio. After our first meeting we immediately decided to record the whole album there, with him as a co-producer and engineer. 

Said and done, we moved our shit to Decibel and started working. Just the three of us. It was a period of extremely high creative energy. It was fantastic. After two months Mavericks was done. 

A maverick is a person who is not afraid to go against the stream, who has the courage to break free from his or her ideas about how things should be, to face the fear and challenge it.

Mavericks is a legendary surf location in Northern California. Here, the water is cold and dark, and giant waves crush against giant rocks. A mavericks is a person who surfs his own wave. Everybody wants to be a maverick, or at least we do. 

On April 30th Mavericks will be released in Scandinavia , Germany, Austria and Switzerland for your listening pleasure.

19 January 2010 What's The Point – New Single and New Tour Dates!

Are you having a rough time with the dark winter time? Hopefully our brand new single will bring some light to your life.

It’s called "What's the point" and is out now on iTunes in Scandinavia, Spotify and physical retailers (in Sweden).
We performed the song live at the P3 Guld Awards in Gothenburg Tuesday evening – check it out here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gn8j4rrr9vA Things are going really well in the studio, the album is starting to take shape and we can honestly say that we’ve never felt this excited about new songs before. Making an album is a different journey every time and this one has been the toughest by far, but in the end probably also the best. The album is being produced by ourselves and Lasse Mårten. Everything is being done at the Decibel studios in Stockholm and we should be set to release the album at the end of April.

We are doing a Scandinavian headline tour in May:

23 December 2009 New album, tour with Thåström

Great news!

It's now official, our third album will be released in april 2010.
We've been working really hard in the studio for the last month, we're really excited to let you hear the music!

To kick of the massive amount of touring we're up for next year, we will join the legendary swedish artist Joakim Thåström for a couple of shows in scandinavia in february 2010.

2 December 2009 Johnossi on P3 Guld!

We will be performing a brand new track from our forthcoming album live at the annual Swedish national radio awards show P3 Guld Galan (The P3 Gold Awards) on Janury 19^th next year.

 The event is held at Gothenburg’s Scandiavium Arena and is aired live on radio and broadcast on 

Swedish national TV later the same day.

 Last year we won the category Best Group at the same awards.

We’ve just started working in the studio last week and are chipping away getting an album done for the spring next year. We’re really satisfied with the results so far and hope to get our best album down yet.

26 June 2009 Goodbye Michael.

The world has lost one of its greatest talents. Michael was beyond everything.
I have a feeling that he just couldnt stand the pressure anymore.
He could have been so much more, he could have done so much more.

Its scary to see how the world takes care of our greatest prodigy. Praise him, raise him to the stars, accuse him, blame him, throw rocks at him for 15 years until he can't take it anymore. I guess now the same journalists who called him wacko jacko for 15 years, will call him a saint.
All you haters and christian fundamentalists out there who's been giving Michael hate for 15 years, are you still waiting for the new messiah??
He might just have been the one, but you blew it!
One thing is for shure, if this world will ever see another great talent like Michael, you will all be dead anyway, so i just hope that your grandgrand children will bring love instead of hate into this world.

16 April 2009 The very first edition of Execution Song single

Hey!

I just found out that a swedish online recordshop is holding a few copys of Johnossis very first release.
In oct 2004, Johnossi released Execution Song as a single on very small, no longer existing record label "Rekord Musik".

This edition was only released in 200 copys and i think at least a hundred of them were sold personally by me and Ossi when we supported the Soundtrack of our lives in Sweden at that time.

So, it's a very rare piece of Johnossihistory...

We just played our first show in Japan (Osaka) and it went swell! 

We are a bit dizzy from the time change, but we feel as that nothing can stop us!. Everybody is taking good care of us and in 15 minutes we´re having dinner with the hives-guys at a classic japanese steakehouse. We´ll keep you posted!

24 March 2009 Hey everybody!

Tomorrow we are off to Örebro (a city in the middle of Sweden) for a show, we have'nt played for a couple of weeks, so we're extra exited!

We noticed that a lot of you ask about why we don't have john/ossi speaks anymore. The reason for this is simply that we didn't like it, instead we're gonna focus on keeping you updated with whats going on in Johnossiworld, here in the news section.
Now, we also have the ability to answer questions from you in the guestbook, we can't answer all questions, but hopefully most of them!

We spend a lot of time in our rehersalspace now, drinking beer, smoking cigarettes, eating food, and of course, writing new songs! It's going pretty well i must say! Hopefully we will start to record later on this year!

Here's some of my favourite things right now

My favourite band at the moment is Satyricon, i'm really looking forward to see them live in Stockholm in April!

11 November 2008 Tour report!

Hey!

We are now in the middle of our Sweden, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Holland, and Belgium tour!

So far it's been great, exepct from me losing my voice due to a really bad vocalchord infection, which was thankfully temporarly fixed yesterday in Innsbruck by the help off
Dr Thomas Rainer (thank you againg, hope your daughters enjoyed the show)

He subscribed me 150 kortison pills, i took 10 of them a couple hours before yesterdays show and voila! my fucked up voice came back from the dead!

The pills didn't only help me get my voice back, it had some funny side effects to, i couldnt stop talking and the whole concert seemed very strange to me.

Anyway, now we're off to Salzburg for another higly intense Kortison show!

Oh by the way, we're gonna get som new feautures up on the website soon, so it will be more easy for us to communicate with you people, we will also start posting more pictures and home made video clips!

18 February 2008 NEW ALBUM, NEW TOURS

"Our second album "All they ever wanted" will be released in
Scandinavia, Germany, Austria and Switzerland in the last week of March.

Our new singel "Party with my pain" is now streaming on our myspace, and you can buy it on Itunes in Sweden (soon also in the rest of scandinavia).

6 May 2007 Confirmed for Haldern Pop Festival in Germany.

During 2-4 August we will perform at the great Haldern Pop Festival in Germany. Other acts confirmed so far are bands like Shout Out Louds, Electric Soft Parade and The Brakes.

4 April 2007 New great shows added! Germany, Austria, UK.

We are happy to announce that we will play a bunch of new shows in Germany, Austria (finally!) and in the U.K. Both club and festival gigs, with highlights such as the Southside/ Hurricane Festival in Germany, Camden Crawl and Great Escape in the U.K and Novarock Festival in Austria! We are also finally coming back to Dresden on 6th May, (hope Ossi won't be ill this time)! It will be a late show so for those of you who are going to see Bloc Party on the same day you will probably be able to see both shows. So head over to the Starclub afterwards! Two great gigs on one night!

To celebrate the arrival of spring and the Easter holiday we will play in Helsingborg 7th April and Malmö 8th April! This is the first time we do headline shows at these two great venues, Tivoli and KB, so we're extra excited!

15 February 2007 Dresden show is cancelled due to illness

To all Dresden Johnossi fans – we are very sad to say that we have to cancel the show tonight Thursday 15th February. This is because Ossi is really sick, high fever and a soar throat. We will as soon as possible reschedule the show and let you know. Tickets will be valid for the next show.

2 February 2007 Munich, Bremen and Frankfurt already sold out!

Heads up people! We have now started to do some serious warm up for our upcoming German tour. Starting Tuesday 6th February. We suggest that you do the same by first buying a ticket right away and then by stretching your neck muscles and doing some knee bends. You'll need it!

6 December 2006 Grammy Nominated!

Some great news! Our debut album "Johnossi" was today announced as a nominee for the Swedish Grammy Award in the category "Best Rock Group". Among the other nominees we find our friends in Mando Diao. But we all know who the winner should be! The award ceremony takes place in Stockholm 30th January, 2007.

28 November 2006 Hello!

We are now back in Stockholm to gather some stregth among friends and family and to find out if Vito Corleone really was a German speaking mafia boss?

Our journey in Europe has been a true adventure and a great success. We would like to give a big thank you to everyone involved in the tour. To Stefan and Henke for getting us there on time and carrying our shit, to Mando Diao for letting us use their massage therapist, to the caterers in Austria for that lovely leberwurst and of course to all of you beautiful people showing up and making every show a great moment for us. Thank you all!!

Plans are made as we speak for coming back to Germany, Austria and Switzerland in February, so keep your eyes and ears open and we'll keep you updated as soon as we have more information.

25 September 2006 European tour with Mando Diao in November

We are very happy to announce that we have been invited by Mando Diao as special guests on their huge upcoming European tour. Will take us through Germany, Austria, Switzerland and Holland. On the tour is also the UK band Razorlight.

14 September 2006 Finally! Some Swedish tour dates!

It's happening! We are doing some Swedish tour dates in November! We play in Lund 1 Nov, Gothenburg 2 Nov, Karlstad 3 Nov and Stockholm 4 Nov. And we promise to play a few brand new songs! All ages shows in most cities as well!

We are also bringing some folks with us on the tour like The Slaves, Kristian Antilla and the new interesting Gothenburg band Love Kills, including Daniel Gilbert, Oskar Wallblom and Jonas Kernell.

31 August 2006 Finland tour cancelled, have to stay in New York.

We are sorry to say that we have to cancel our Finland tour in September. But we have to stay longer in New York than we orginally planned. We hope to come to Finland at another time.

We have just confirmed a tour in Norway in the end of May + that we're playing two shows in London at Metro the 2nd and 3rd of May.

27 March 2006 Album re-release with three bonus tracks

Our debut album will be re-released in Sweden on April 5. Including three great bonus tracks; "Rescue Team", "Risky Business I" and "Risky Business II".

The album will also finally be released in Norway and Finland on April 3 and in Denmark on April 24. Also for those of you living in Norway – preorder the album on CDON and get it digitally before it hits the stores.
